Bennett says conditions will be reevaluated on Friday. She says whether the air is still considered unhealthy will depend on, in addition to the winds, the progress in putting out the wildfires, which would reduce the amount of smoke. In the meantime, it’s recommended that you minimize outdoor activities, even if you’re healthy. You should stay indoors with doors and windows closed as much as possible. Also, you should keep airways moist and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
