Air Search Also Called Off Shooter Missing Hiker

The search in the South Yuba River canyon for a missing hiker, as well as the shooter of a volunteer involved in the search, resumed several days ago. That’s after being called off about two weeks ago, due to the shooter still being at large. And this time it was conducted only by air. 75-year-old Timothy Hansston, from Tulare County, was reported missing on August 4th, after he’d gone for a hike in the area, which is near the town of Washington. Five days later, during a ground search, 69-year-old Steven Wolf, a volunteer with the Placer County Sheriff’s Department’s search and rescue team, was shot in the hip.
