Nevada County Airport Hosts Air Fest

Vintage, classic, and experimental aircraft will be featured at the Nevada County Airport this weekend. It’s ‘Nevada County Airfest 2015’ hosted by the Golden Empire Flying Association. Organizer Tim O’Brien says about 80 to 90 different aircraft will be on display, and will also do fly-bys…

Newer aircraft will also be on display, including some built at the Nevada County Airport. O’Brien says AirFest attracts a lot of visitors because you just can’t see these aircraft every day…

There will also be food, entertainment for the kids, a classic car show, and the Grass Valley Air Attack Base will have an open house. AirFest is tomorrow from 8am to 4pm, and there’s also a hangar party and dinner dance tonight featuring music from the 1930s and 50s–all at the Nevada County Airport.
