Alcohol Contributes to Accident

Alcohol use helped lead to a three car collision Tuesday night, CHP Officer Justin Barnhouse says.  The accident was reported just before eight p.m.  on the McKnight off ramp in Grass Valley. Officer Barnhouse says a 58-year-old Penn Valley woman driving a Ford Focus came up behind several stopped car at the traffic light. She miss judged her speed and was not able to stop.

The driver of the  Honda was rear ended and she…. then rear ended the car in front of her, a 1993 Cadillac. The drivers of the Ford and the Honda were  taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, with non-;ife threatening injures. The investigation has determined the female driver of the Ford Focus was under the influence at the time of the accident .
