Alcohol Involved in Collision with Caltrans Truck

A Caltrans Crew narrowly missed being injured after a suspected drunk driver hit a caravan of Caltran trucks. Officer Marc Morrison says a Caltrans crew was on the Gold Center Freeway, Saturday evening repairing the road near Gold Flat Road. Morrison says the last truck had a large yellow traffic barrier attached to it. The driver of a 1990 Honda did not move over and hit the truck.

31 year old Christopher McFadden of Rough and Ready was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol when he hit the truck. Officer Morrison says suspected meth amphetemine was also found in McFaddens car. Officer Morrison says the traffic barrier saved the crew from injury.
