Johnson says eighteen year old Gabriel Strickland was under the influence, and had broken into his mother’s home. The mother was trying to calm him down, while a roommate there attempted to call 9-1-1 from a cell phone. Johnson says Strickland knocked the phone out of the roommate’s hand.
