Alleged Drug and Burglary Arrests in Truckee

It doesn’t pay to commit crimes in Truckee. Over the last few days Truckee Police have identified and arrested several alleged burglars that may have also been involved in drug related incidents. Captain Harwood Mitchell says officers following leads from several residential and vehicle burglaries took three suspects into custody. On March 9th officers were successful when they served a search warrant on a residence

truckeesuspectsOfficers took a suspect, Anthony Torres, age19 years in to custody for possession of methamphetamine and also for alleged gang related activities.
On Monday, officers served a second warrant at the Henness Pass Apartment Complex which caused a suspect to try and flee.

Along with the two subjects, possible Crystal Methamphetamine and an air-soft pistol were located in the vehicle.
Suspect Sergio Sanchez, age 19 and a female companion, Sabrina Kantlehner age 18 were taken into custody. Sanchez was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale and attempted burglary from the earlier case.  Kantlehner was arrested for aiding and abetting a known felon for allegedly trying to hide Sanchez during his escape.
