Alpaca Mania at the Nevada County Fairgrounds

The Alpaca Winter Gathering is taking place at the Nevada County Fairgrounds this weekend starting at 8:30 Saturday and Sunday. Event C-Coordinator Kay Rodriguez talks about the different types of alpacas that you can see at the event.

Each of the alpacas produce different fibers whic are used for different products.

Lots of fun events are taking place over the two days. the Halter Judging takes place both days with a judge looking for different characteristics of each alpaca.

Today and tomorrow have lots of other competitions too…including a costume contest.
