A manhunt for a suspect in the Alta Sierra area Monday evening ended with the suspect still on the loose. Nevada County Sheriff’s Sgt. Guy Selleck says a deputy was southbound on Highway 49 shortly after 5 last evening when he noticed a vehicle being driven erratically that sped past him. The Deputy followed the vehicle as it turned into the Alta Sierra Gas station. The deputy ran the plate on the vehicle and it came back to a different vehicle, raising more suspicions. The officer then approached the occupant of the vehicle who was pumping gas.
