Altar Show: Renewal and Remembrance

The 16th Annual Altar Show  at the Nevada County Fairgrounds finished a 9 day run this weekend and drew quite a crowd.

Altar Show committee member Catherine Hoff says  the Altar Show is presented as a gift to the community.  She says people are creating altars all the time and may not realize it, whether it be for a birthday or  graduation or group holiday time like Christmas.

One Altar was a tribute to the children and Adults who lost their lives at Sandy Hook.

Many of the altars had opportunities for visitors to actively participate by sharing thoughts and ideas on cards and in notebooks.
