American River Cleanup Set For Saturday

Trash mules return to the American River canyons outside of Auburn for a cleanup Saturday – underway the same day a similiar event is set for the Yuba River.

Eric Peach, a member of Protect American River Canyons, says the Foresthill Bridge complicates this clean up. Some people throw items off the bridge, an act that’s illegal as well as potentially deadly.

The California Highway Patrol had been able to help the American River cleanup, Peach adds.
