An Opportunity to Serve Grass Valley

With a recently vacated seat on the Grass Valley City Council the remaining City Council voted to fill the opening through an appointment process. To apply for this position on Council you must be a registered voter who resides within the city limits of Grass Valley at the time you return your application to the City Clerk. All those interested are invited and encouraged to submit an application and a letter of interest to the City Clerk at City Hall, 125 East Main Street, by 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday, January 30, 2015.

The application and additional information are available on the city’s website at www.cityofgrassvalley.com, from City Clerk Kristi Bashor at 274‐4310 or at City Hall during normal business hours.

The City Council meets regularly at 7 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month and at special meetings as needed. In addition, a Council Member may serve on various committees, attend other meetings and act as the City’s representative to other organizations. Council Members receive $275.00 per month and the priceless reward of community service.
The City Council will interview candidates in open session at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting of Tuesday, February 10, 2014 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The City Council plans to make the final decision at the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting of Tuesday, February 24, 2015. All City Council meetings are broadcast live on Comcast channel 17 and on the City’s website via streaming video.
