Hooray for Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bill Smethers and the Animal Control for responding and saving abused animals!
Animals have been our companions, our protectors, and they have eased our physical and emotional burdens in countless ways. I believe they deserve our respect, and that their treatment at our hands must at all times be humane. We have an obligation to provide animals with proper care and treatment, and their value should lie in their inherent worth as unique, sentient creatures, and not solely on the basis of their usefulness as food, scientific models, or as entertainment. I believe that we owe animals humane treatment throughout their lives. Thank you for saving them!
