Another Flashlight Bandit Arrested in Grass Valley

For the second time in the last four days, a suspect caught the attention of law enforcement for prowling around a closed business with a flashlight. Grass Valley Police were dispatched to the area of Whiting and South Auburn Street a little after midnight Wednesday. Officers were looking for a suspicious person with a flashlight checking buildings.

Lewis,-Don1Sgt. Joe Matteoni says the knife was a folding knife with a four inch blade that had been permanently locked in an open position. Lewis did not appear to have other suspicious items in his possession.  Lewis was taken into custody for the warrants and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger.  A different suspect was arrested over the weekend after he was spotted wearing a headlamp behind a business in the same area.
