Another Gang Member Arrest In Grass Valley

For the second time in two weeks, another transient gang member has been arrested for a violent crime in Grass Valley. Police Sergeant Clint Bates says a male victim, with minor facial injuries, told the department, Saturday afternoon, that he’d been robbed on Race Street. Bates says Baldwin, considered a transient, took a number of personal possessions from the victim, including cash and some electronic items, such as a cell phone. Charges include participation in a criminal street gang, which is based outside the area. Late last month, a 21-year-old man, also a transient and with a gang background, struck a young man in the head with his pistol, in the downtown area, before being taken into custody…

In addition to felony robbery, charges against Baldwin include a minor in possession of alcohol and possession of a minor amount of drugs, both misdemeanors. The female suspect has not been arrested yet.
