Another Historical Landmark To Be Unveiled

The 185th historical landmark for Nevada County is set for an unveiling ceremony on Saturday, August 8th. That’ll be for the Victornian-style Hartung House in Penn Valley. The promotion director for the Historical Landmarks Commission, Bernie Zimmerman, says it’s one of the oldest buildings still around and in pristine condition. Zimmerman says he’s not sure how public access will be set up, at this time, that it’s always up to the property owner. The ceremony is at 10am, August 8th, on Piper Lane, near the intersection of Pleasant Valley and Bitney Springs Roads, in Penn Valley.
