For the second year in a row, a health clinic for the underserved population of Nevada County is getting federal funding help. Strong says their clinics help people with no ability to pay the normal fees, applying a sliding scale, depending on income or a lack of income. In a statement, Nevada County’s Congressman, Doug LaMalfa, says community health centers play a critical role in expanding access in areas where patients may otherwise lack care altogether, especially in rural areas.
