Another trial date of May 24th has been scheduled for Terry Lamphier. The previous date of Tuesday had already been vacated, to allow his defense attorney more time to go over evidence on the hard drive that was on Lamphier’s government computer. The attorney has wanted an expert to examine the hard drive in person, even though the material it contains has already been examined. That request has been granted. Lamphier was charged, about a year and a half ago, with three misdemeanor counts of having or possessing digital obscene images of person younger than 18. This is the fourth trial date set in the case. Lamphier is a former Nevada County supervisor who was later elected to the Grass Valley City Council, in November of 2014, but resigned two days after being sworn in, because of the investigation.
