Yet another plane has run off the runway at the Nevada County Airport. It happened Saturday afternoon. Nevada County Consolidated Fire Deputy Chief Jerry Funk says a US Forest Service spotter plane that is used to spot smoke from wildfires ran off the runway and drew a quick response from multiple area fire departments.

There was no fire or injury to the pilot and fire trucks were released shortly after the situation was assessed.
Officials from the US forest service are investigating what caused the plane to leave the runway. The Nevada County Airport was reopened after about an hour .
