Another Pot Bust Driving Through Truckee

Another pair of out-of-state residents trying to transport marijuana back to their home states were arrested in Truckee Sunday. According to Truckee Police Captain Rob Leftwich, it was a collaborative effort between police and highway patrol.

The CHP contacted Truckee Police so the canine drug dog, Trax, was brought out the scene.

Leftwich says that people try a number of ways to disguise the smell of marijuana when transporting or shipping it to other locations.

Joseph Connors 19 of Madison, Wisconsin and Cody Peck 21 of St Louis Missouri were arrested and charged with conspiracy, transport of marijuana for sale and possession of marijuana for sale.
