Another Raise For Nevada City Police Officers

The start of the new fiscal year, July 1st, also means another raise for Nevada City police officers. The two-year labor agreement includes a two and a half percent salary enhancement for each year, although one and a half percent goes to their pension plan. Prestwich says a salary survey of comparable cities in the region will be conducted for all employee categories, with the possibility of re-opening pay negotiations for the second year of the police officers’ contract.
