Another report of a school-aged child being approached by a man in a red pickup occurred on Sunday. Grass valley School District Superintendent, Eric Fredrickson, says the mother of a Grass Valley student notified the district this morning.

According to Union Hill School District Superintendent, Susan Barry, the County Superintendent of Schools Office sent out a notice to the district superintendents.

In response to notification, Superintendent Barry thought it best to post a student alert of the district website earlier this morning.

Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says there have been several reports of such incidents occurring in Western Nevada County over the past several weeks. The first was off Combie Road in the South County, the second was on Dorsey Drive in Grass Valley and the most recent was in the Rattlesnake and DogĀ Bar Rd area south of Grass Valley.
