Another Trial Date Vacated For Lamphier

Judge Linda Sloven had previously indicated she would not allow another continuance. Newell says the attorney for Terry Lamphier has asserted that there may be further information for the defense, that only his expert could get from the hard drive on Lamphier’s government computer. The hard drive allegedly indicates that Lamphier downloaded inappropriate material from child porn sites. And with additional information to go over, they would not be ready by the latest scheduled trial date of next Tuesday…

But Newell says the defense could still make a copy of the hard drive, as long as it was in an evidence room. Charges were filed against Lamphier about a year and a half ago. Lamphier had just been elected to the Grass Valley City Council and resigned two days after being sworn in.
