Applications Being Taken for County Grant

Several non-profit organizations are filling out applications-hoping to get a 15-thousand dollar grant from Nevada County. County Social Services Director Mike Dent says the grant is referred to as C-I-F, or Community Initiative Funding..

Interfaith Food Ministry and Women of Worth have received grants in past years. Dent says the deadline to file an application for the grant is April 2. Applications are available at my-nevada-county dot-com. The Board of Supervisors will decide the winner in June.
