A group of Canadian developers are proposing to put a hydro power project at Daguerre  Point Dam on the lower Yuba River in an area where   South Yuba River Citizens League Executive Director Caleb Dardick says,  SYRCL has worked for nearly 20 years to restore wild Salmon.

SYRCL is encouraging the public to come to Marysville on Monday October 22nd  where Archon Energy will hold an informational meeting on the proposed project at the Yuba County Board of Supervisors Chambers  between 1 and 4 pm .

Archon ‘s plans to build a hydro power project on the Yuba River first became public in August of this year when the company filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission .
