Armed Robbery Arrest and Red Truck Sighting in Grass Valley

The Grass Valley police have made another arrest in a reported attempted armed robbery at Safeway on September 29th. Sergeant Joe Matteoni says officers have taken 33 year old Jack Kibbe into custody for the attempted robbery of a man. Kibbe and Mathew MatsonĀ  was accused of putting a knife to the victim throat and demanding money .

The Sergeant says Kibbe was located and taken into custody.
Both suspects are facing charges of armed robbery, conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon and violation of probation.

Tips are still being received by law enforcement involving a make in a red pickup. Over the past several weeks several children were able to give a description of a male in a red pickup with a lumber rack attempting to lure them into his vehicle.. Sergeant Joe Matteoni says a person saw what they thought was a suspicious man at the Chase Bank in Glenbrook over the weekend.

Law Enforcement has not been able to identify any person of interest driving a red pickup. None of the witnesses have been able to provide any type of license number or complete description of the driver. Anyone with information on a possible suspect is encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency.
