A Grass Valley man has been arrested for a hit and run accident involving a bicyclist. CHP Officer Mike Steele says it happened on Rough and Ready Highway near Ridge Road Saturday afternoon…
Steele says 35-year-old Brendan Moore left the scene of the collision but was located a short time later. The bicyclist, a 69-year-old man from the Smartsville area, had minor injuries. But Steele says it could have been a lot worse if the victim had not been wearing a helmet…
In addition to a felony hit and run causing injury charge, Steele says Moore was also arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving while being a drug addict. He says just showing signs of addiction, such as the chills and the shakes, disorientation, and track marks on the arm, a charge can be applied. He says Moore also violated parole or probation.
