Arrest in Alleged Arson in Grass Valley

A woman has been taken into custody for starting a fire that caused major damage to an apartment complex in Grass Valley Wednesday night. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says 49 year old Patty Jill Radabaugh was taken into custody a short distance from the Stuart Street apartment complex.

Fire fighters were able to contain the apparent arson caused fire to one apartment. Smoke and water damage caused the rest of the occupants to flee from their homes and to request assistance from the Red Cross. Grass Valley. Fire fighters and the police are searching for the cause of the fire. The investigation is focusing on what caused Radabaugh to start the fire. Officials are saying it is to early to determine if the building can be repaired.
