Fearful for his life, the driver bailed out of the car, even though it was going about 40 miles an hour, landing on the pavement, but he was not seriously injured. The car crashed, and Jakobs says Paradiso got out took off on a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, who was following the car, Jonathon Trihub, then fled into the woods, where he was arrested, but is not expected to be charged. Paradiso was arrested Tuesday afternoon outside a local business where a handgun was also found inside his vehicle, which is illegal, because he’s a convicted felon. Other evidence was found, after a search of his south county home. He’s charged with kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and criminal threats. Jakobs says they also sought and were granted an enhanced bail of one-million dollars. He says the victim had been approached about dropping the charges, including a bribe.
