Arrest In High-Speed Pursuit

While trying to find a suspect in a separate incident Wednesday night, a Nevada County Sheriff’s deputy saw a vehicle parked in front of Sierra Plumbing, on LaBarr Meadows Road. Department Communications Manager Andrew Trygg, says the deputy decided to check it out…

But Trygg says the driver, later identified as 35-year-old Vincent Anderson of Roseville, pulled forward, crossed the double yellow lines, and sped off into oncoming traffic. Concerned that Anderson might be under the influence, Trygg says the deputy called for backup to pull Anderson over. He says Anderson continued down La Barr Meadows Road and then fled northbound on the Golden Center Freeway…

Trygg says Anderson then drove through Nevada City before heading southbound on the freeway. He finally pulled over and was arrested on the southbound onramp at Brunswick Road. One of the charges is misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs.
