Arrest Made In Mail Thefts From Over 100 Residents

A Sacramento County man has been arrested in the Sacramento area and suspected of a number of burglaries and thefts, including in Grass Valley and Nevada County. Over the last couple of weeks of January, Grass Valley Police Officer Zack LaFerriere says Jason Gorham was seen, twice on video surveillance, with two other men, trying to steal items at Plaza Tire, but was largely unsuccessful. That theft attempt was also unsuccessful. LaFerriere says Gorham was then caught on camera again at Plaza Tire, this time pulling up in a pickup and stealing another vehicle from the parking lot, before returning it later…

LaFerriere says Gorham was detained at a Sacramento area credit union, where another attempt was being made to steal drop box deposits. Stolen items were found inside the pickup. And a search of Gorham’s residence turned up more stolen items, including mail taken from at least 100 Nevada County residents.
