It’s a Thanksgiving Weekend tradition–the Artisans Festival at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. The festival features painters, photographers, woodworkers, leather workers, and jewelry makers from local artists and some from out of the area. Events Coordinator Kat Kress says the festival is a fundraiser for the foundry…
The foundry is an old building, dating back to 1856…
It became the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in the 1990s, and the festival began in 1993. The Artisans Festival runs from Friday through Sunday from 10-5 at the Foundry, 325 Spring Streeet in Nevada City. Tickets are three dollars. Kids under 16 are free.
