Emergency responders were called to the Eric Rood County Government Center Tuesday afternoon. According to officials, a woman had finished an appointment at Nevada County Social Services when she came out and sat on a bench.
The 57-year-old woman lost consciousness and fell over. Several people began CPR and other life-saving measures. The woman was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital where she later died.
