A 72- year old man went to jail for tampering with power lines yesterday. Nevada County Deputies were called to the 14 thousand block of Lnyshar road in Grass Valley to the call of a citizens arrest. Sheriff Keith Royal explains that the elderly couple in their 70s are separated but not divorced and have been living in separate residences on the same property. the woman is in the couple’s 5th wheel trailer while the male half lives in the primary residence.  The woman has called the Sheriff several times because she believes her husband is cutting off the electricity to the 5th wheel deliberately.

The 72 year old male was booked in to the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on the misdemeanor charge of interfering with power lines.
