A fire broke out Monday night. Nevada County Consolidated, Grass Valley and Nevada City Fire units were dispatched to the 13,000 Block of Willow Valley Road for reported structure fire. First arriving units found a single story home with light smoke showing from the structure. According to Battalian Chief Mark Buttron Crews found a partially extinguished fire in the kitchen area.

Crews extinguished the remaining fire, checked that no extension of the fire had gone into the walls and crews cleared the structure of smoke. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injures were reported.
