Another Free Drop-Off Event For Grass Valley Residents

Grass Valley residents can dispose of green waste and e-waste for free this Saturday at Condon Park. Clear your property and reduce wildfire risks from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The weather should be ideal this weekend for Grass Valley residents looking for a more convenient place to dispose of various waste from your property, and at no cost. The City of Grass Valley is hosting another Drop-Off event at Condon Park on Saturday. Deputy Public Works Director Zac Quentmeyer says they’ve been held each spring and fall at this location in recent years…
Residency will be verified by checking ID’s. And Quentmeyer
says it’s also an opportunity to reduce the wildfire risk and create defensible
space around your home…
Acceptable green waste includes residential tree and plant trimmings, weeds, leaves, pine needles, and branches. Restricted items include commercial green waste. Acceptable e-waste are just about anything that plugs in. That includes computers, televisions, monitors, tablets, phones, stereos, microwaves, and VCR and DVD players. That’s on Saturday, from 9am to 1:30pm, at Condon Park. And Quentmeyer says you can usually avoid long lines or waits by not arriving early or at the last minute.
