Assault with Beer Bottle Lands Suspect in Jail

One man was hit with a beer bottle and a woman jailed as the suspect. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says deputies responded to a reported fight involving four people at a home near Lake of the Pines. When deputies arrived they found a 27 year old man with a serious injury to the back of his head. The Sheriff says 46 year old Heidi Golding of Auburn had allegedly hit the man with a beer bottle.

Golding was taken into custody for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies are still trying to determine the events that lead up to the fight.
