At Least Five Dead in Tehama County Shooting

Authorities in Tehama County say at least five people are dead after a shooting in several locations, including an elementary school. Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston says it’s too early to say exactly how many people were wounded in the attack. He said there are up to seven shooting scenes, including an elementary school in Corning where a student was shot. Another child in a truck was injured in the shooting. Johnston said it’s believed the gunman was picking targets at random. He also remarked that one assault rifle and two handguns were recovered from the suspect, who was killed by police.
