As a long time Denver Bronco’s fan I am accustomed to Superbowl blowouts. This one was over with the first snap. When I looked up to see the ball flying past Manning’s freakishly large noggin, I had a sinking feeling that it was over. I know it was only 2 points. I know that Denver had delivered on rough starts most of the season. I also know snakebit when I see it.
Seattle won that game, Denver lost it. Lost it big! To be honest, I’m glad it was over early. If it been a close game (as we all had been lead to expect) I would be sitting here pointing to two or three different plays that “only if”. There weren’t enough close plays to make any difference. The interceptions weren’t tips, they were clean picks of poor throws.
As far as I could see Bruno Mars worked harder than the Bronco’s last night.
Congrats to the new World Champs!
