ATM Skimmer Scam Update

Auburn Police are releasing a photograph of a possible suspect in the tampering of an ATM Machine in Auburn last Sunday July 15.   A customer at the ATM at US Bank at 730 High street in Auburn  discovered the skimming devise  when he used the  walk up  ATM at 2:12 p.m.  Sunday afternoon.  Auburn Police Sgt. Detective Dale Hutchins says US Bank security determined the skimming devise had been installed on the ATM at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, just 22 minutes before it was detected.  Police are asking for the publics help in identifying a man in a security camera photo taken at that time.

Anyone who may recognize the individual is asked to contact Auburn Police Department. The skimming devises are used by thieves to collect people’s personal financial information so money can be taken out of their accounts.
