Atmospheric River Causes Local Flood Concerns

Sand bags are available for free at three locations–next to the Nevada County Warehouse at Highway 49 and East Broad Street in Nevada City, at the Penn Valley Fire Protection District on Spenceville Road, and at the North San Juan Community Hall on Reservoir Street. You will need to bring your own shovel, and you are asked to take just what you need. The rain is expected to arrive tomorrow and last through Monday.
