Attempted Murder in Sheridan

A 19-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder following a stabbing in Sheridan yesterday morning (Thursday). Placer County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 3700 block of Riosa Road around 9:30 this morning, where the caller reported that one man had been stabbed numerous times in the neck. The suspect, Anthony Victor Walker, 19, who had been visiting the home, had fled on foot. A few minutes later, a deputy located a man matching the suspect’s description along Riosa Road. Lt Mike Reed with the Placer County Sheriff’s Departments says Walker had fledĀ  when deputies arrived.

Walker was taken into custody at gunpoint following the short foot pursuit. The victim was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. His condition is unknown. Walker is currently being booked at the Auburn Jail on a charge of attempted murder. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
