A jury has been seated in an attempted murder trial getting underway in a Nevada County courtroom, with testimony scheduled to start Thursday morning. About a year ago, 59-year-old William “Dale” Carman was arrested for shooting his brother, at his brother’s trailer, and also wounding a woman, after the two men had fired shots at each other. Newell told us in November that Carman rejected a plea agreement, where Carman would have pleaded guilty for a reduced sentence.
