Auburn Arrest following Assault with Chainsaw

Thursday morningĀ  at approximately 12:13 a.m., Auburn Police officers responded to a report of a male subject threatening another male with a chainsaw. Upon arriving Auburn Police made contact with 63-year-old Marvin Daniels. Duty Sgt. Hopping explains the sequence of events.

The victim was able to escape and ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
Daniels was subsequently arrested and booked into the Placer County jail for brandishing a weapon, making criminal threats, and violation of probation. He remains in custody as of Friday morning.
