Auburn Arrest on Suspected Forgery

Auburn Police Department officers responded to Auburn Town Center for a report that two male subjects were attempting to pass false US currency in a local business. Officers contacted Kenneth Hillery in the Auburn Town Center parking lot and arrested him on burglary and forgery charges. APD officers then questioned  Mariah Ortiz and Richard Bridges in Hillery’s vehicle and arrested them on conspiracy charges. Officers found more false US currency in Hillery’s vehicle.  Shortly after arresting Hillery, APD officers then contacted Pernell Hill at a business near HWY 49 at I-80 and determined he was the second subject wanted from the original report. Hill was also arrested on burglary and forgery charges. This investigation is ongoing.
