Auburn Homeless Shelter Gets New Extension

Operators of the temporary homeless shelter in North Auburn, which opened about a year and a half ago, have received another contract extension from Placer County Supervisors, although it was approved on a split 3-2 vote. Brown says Supervisors have also been asked to consider ways to address health and safety complaints from residents in the area. That includes four new Sheriff’s deputies, who would be liaisons…along with staff from his department…

Homeless campsite cleanups would also be supervised. The plan would cost about 1-point-2 million dollars.
