Auto Burglaries Up in Grass Valley

Eight Vehicle break-in’s in one night may not be a record, but it’s definitely enough to get Grass Valley Police’s attention. Sgt. Dan Kimbrough says  late Monday night into early Tuesday of this week,  vehicle break-ins were reported on Springhill, Wilson and Bank streets, two on Murphy Street and three on Harris Street.

Kimbrough says the targeted  vehicles have been locked and unlocked .  Items taken include valuables like sun glasses wallets I-pod speakers I-phones, change, and gym bags.

Kimbrough says a spike in auto burglaries does happen in the city on occasion.

Police urge residents to keep your vehicles locked, take all valuables out of the vehicle, and if you see anything unusual to call the Grass Valley Police Department.
