Autopsy Reveals Identity of Suspected Homicide Victim

An autopsy has been completed on a body that was found in the front yard of a home in the 16-thousand block of Countrywood Lane just outside of Nevada City. The couple who lives at the property returned home and noticed an odor which they thought was a dead animal. There search of their yard uncovered the deceased body. Nevada County sheriff Keith royal says a Placer county Pathologist has completed the autopsy and identified the victim.

Ormsby’s death remains under investigation as a Homicide. The Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit is expected to conduct further interviews and it’s anticipated more search warrants will be sought. The Sheriff says further information will be released as it becomes available. Ormsby has had prior contact with the Sheriff’s office. He was arrested in 2012 on a probation violation and in 2004 on an illegal weapons charge.
