Avoid COVID Crowding At Grocery Stores

Grocery stores are normally packed just before Thanksgiving. But Dave Heylen, with the California Grocers Association, says the coronavirus now limits capacity to 50-percent in most counties, including Nevada County. Also, avoid peak shopping hours and do it during the early morning and evening hours, and try to come alone, to reduce crowding concerns. And bring a list, to speed up your trip. Meanwhile, Heylen says the grocery industry has learned a lot about binge and panic buying that was a problem early in the pandemicā€¦

Heylen says you should also consider online options, such as delivery or curbside pickup for ordering your turkey or pre-prepared Thanksgiving side dishes.
