Back to School Vaccination Clinic

Back to school means gathering supplies and back packs. It’s also the perfect time to make sure children are up to date on their vaccines. Public Health Officer Ken Cutler says getting all of the recommended vaccines is one of the most important things parents can do to protect their children’s health.

On Thursday, August 14, from 1pm-4pm the Nevada County Public Health Department’s Immunization Program is offering a special Vaccination Clinic at the Grass Valley Veteran’s Hall. This clinic will offer ALL childhood immunizations for anyone who is eligible for the Vaccines for Children Program.
Additionally, the Tdap shot for all incoming 7th graders, as well as the MMR shot will be available for $10 per shot regardless of insurance or eligibility.

The clinic will be located on the lower level of the hall. Please bring immunization records with you.

Wednesday, August 13, 1-4 p.m. at the Public Health Department, 500 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley: focused on tweens/teens who need their Tdap. Tdap and MMR will be offered for $10 / shot*. Other vaccines will be offered to those who are eligible for the Vaccines For Children (VFC) program (Medi-Cal – free or No insurance – $10 / shot*)

Thursday, August 14, 9:30-11 a.m. in North San Juan at the Community Center: Adults and children. Tdap and MMR $10 / shot*; VFC for eligible children (Medi-Cal – free or No insurance – $10 / shot*); and State (limited vaccines, $10 / shot*) or Private Pay for adults

Thursday, August 14, 1-4 p.m. at the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Hall in the Lower Hall: All children 18 & under. Tdap and MMR for $10 / shot* and other shots for those who are VFC-eligible (Medi-Cal – free or No insurance – $10 / shot*).

Thursday, August 21, 9:30-11 a.m. in Washington near the Food Bank: Adults and children. Tdap and MMR $10 / shot*; VFC for eligible children (Medi-Cal – free or No insurance – $10 / shot*); and State (limited vaccines, $10 / shot*) or Private Pay for adults.
